Donut King, Australia’s favourite donut brand, has proudly partnered with MS Queensland during their MS Brissie to Bay charity ride to create the world’s largest donut wall at Musgrave Park in Brisbane, smashing the previous Official Guinness World Record and drawing attention to the battle against Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a condition affecting over 33,300 Australians.

The record-breaking donut wall was unveiled at MS Queensland’s MS Brissie to Bay event in Brisbane’s Musgrave Park on Sunday 9th June, drawing crowds of donut lovers and supporters of MS Queensland. The impressive wall, stretching 13.2 meters wide and 3.74 meters high, was adorned with 5,040 of Donut King’s delicious and iconic strawberry and chocolate glazed donuts. The event not only endeavoured to break records, but also aimed to help raise awareness and funds for those living with Multiple Sclerosis.  The record was previously set in the United States in October 2022 with 3,000 donuts. An official from Guinness World Records was there to witness and verify Donut King’s monumental achievement.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with MS Queensland to bring this extraordinary initiative to life,” said Donut King Marketing Manager, Raquel Hine. “Breaking the world record is a fantastic achievement, but what’s even more special is the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause. We hope that the chance to experience the donut wall brought a little joy to all those who attended, and that the funds raised will help make a difference in the lives of those living with MS.”

“Partnering with Donut King for our iconic MS Brissie to the Bay event has been incredible,” said MS Queensland CEO, David Curd. “The enthusiasm and support from the community has been overwhelming. This event not only sets a new World Record, but also shines a spotlight on the challenges faced by those with Multiple Sclerosis. The funds raised today will go a long way in providing vital services and support for people living with MS in Queensland.”

A Guinness World Records spokesperson confirmed the record with enthusiasm: “The donut wall by Donut King and MS Queensland not only shattered the previous record but also used this monumental achievement to spotlight awareness on MS. Congratulations to both organisations for their remarkable effort and contribution to this crucial cause.”

Musgrave Park, South Brisbane is the backdrop of this record-breaking spectacle, it also serves as the start and finish line for MS Queensland’s MS Brissie to the Bay—a thrilling community bike ride that has raised funds for over 30 years, supporting the ever-growing number of Queenslanders living with MS and neurological conditions.
